Dreamscheme training really does give you the valuable tools you will need to start and run a successful dreamscheme. With this in mind we run a regular programme of training courses. We are happy to discuss any individual needs you may have, and can travel to deliver in-house training. We occasionally run training events in the South of England according to demand. Below see a brief synopsis of our regular training: Level 1 - One Day Who should attend? Anyone who wants to learn more about the Dreamscheme Story. Training Includes: The full Dreamscheme story from its conception on the Flower Estate in Sheffield Workshops on understanding the Dreamscheme An introduction to Dreamscheme Network Membership, further training, products and services Planning a new project 'The Dreamscheme Way' An introduction to 'Have You Got the Bottle?', our assertiveness and self-confidence training course for young people Level 2 - Two Days Who should attend? Groups who have decided to start a dreamscheme and individuals who have already attended the Level 1 training. Training includes: Understanding the Dreamscheme: its history, aims and hopes; grasping, implementing and sustaining the vision Personal Development based on the 'Have You Got the Bottle?' course; how to feel affirmed, how to affirm others, co-operation, communication and self-confidence Structures: legal status; constitutions; the management committee; group development; networking with other agencies; funding and finance; accountability; and insurance Safeguards: accidents; violence; vulnerability; good practice Planning a new project: assessing resources; timelines; further training; work and trips; the points system B.O.Fs: bits of fun - light and lively short breaks! HYGTB We now offer a one-day course designed to prepare you to deliver Have You Got the Bottle effectively to the young people you work with. This interactive course was written by Kate King with the help of the young people in Sheffield. It is about self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. 'Have You Got the Bottle?' training takes you through this widely acclaimed workbook, going into detail in some of the most rewarding areas and ensuring your young people gain the most benefit from the potential it offers. This training is for facilitators and group leaders who will be running the course with young people.
