The Story So Far...

In 1998 Geoff and Kate were invited to visit Uganda and shortly after in 1999 set up the first Ugandan Dreamscheme at Nateete, near Kampala. In the same year Berna Senyonga came over to the UK and was trained in order to train others back in Uganda. Between 2001 and 2002 there was a rapid growth of Dreamscheme projects in the country and after the registration of Dreamscheme Uganda as an NGO in 2003, the current figure in 2008 now stands at 20 groups.
These are the facts... but the real story is that the Dreamscheme Vision has taken root in Uganda and is already bringing about an amazing range of community activities through young people. Including...
- Sanitation
- Rubbish clearance
- Road and drains clearance
- Schools
- Brick making
- Care for the elderly
- Clearing wells
- Planting flowers, trees and vegetables
- Learning new skills
